What is Hospice
Hospice is a type of medical care that is provided to people who are terminally ill and are no longer seeking curative treatment. It is designed to provide comfort and support to patients and their families during this difficult time
Hospice can be provided in a variety of settings, including inpatient hospice centers, the patient’s home, or a nursing home. The goal of hospice is to help patients live as comfortably and pain-free as possible, and to provide support for their families. This can include symptom management, emotional and spiritual support, and end-of-life care.
How much does hospice cost?
There is usually no out of pocket cost for hospice. Medicare, Medi-cal, and the majority of private insurance plans cover the cost of hospice care 100% with zero out of pocket costs.
